A pedestrian was seriously injured in a crash involving a vehicle at the 4 Bears Casino and Lodge in New Town on Saturday, June 28, 2025. The incident occurred at approximately 10:50 PM CST in the east parking lot of the casino.
The vehicle involved was a 2006 Ford Five Hundred SEL driven by a 60-year-old male from New Town. According to reports, the car was reversing away from the casino building when it struck an 84-year-old female pedestrian with its back bumper, causing her to fall to the ground. The pedestrian sustained serious injuries and was transported to Trinity Hospital in Minot by New Town Ambulance.
The driver has been charged with Criminal Vehicular Injury, classified as a Class C Felony. The North Dakota Highway Patrol is leading the investigation into the crash, with assistance from McKenzie County Sheriff’s Office, Three Affiliated Tribes Police, and security personnel from 4 Bears Casino and Lodge.
The road conditions were described as well-lit by building lights and pole lights, while weather conditions were dry at the time of the accident. The investigation is ongoing.
