Residents of the Bismarck area are being advised to stay alert following a "tornado watch" issued by the National Weather Service. The advisory encourages locals to prepare for potential impacts such as tornadoes, hail, and strong winds.

In case of severe weather affecting Bismarck, residents are invited to use a storm report survey tool to share information about local impacts with Bismarck Emergency Management. However, officials urge individuals to monitor local media and wait until conditions are safe before using the survey.

For significant storm events requiring immediate emergency response, residents should first call 9-1-1 before utilizing the storm report survey. The survey is intended for follow-up planning related to community recovery efforts.

City staff will not be available to assist with the survey tool. If users encounter difficulties, they are advised to stop using it. Residents can review the tool in advance without submitting any responses.
