Serious injury reported in ATV vs vehicle crash in Pettibone

A serious injury accident occurred in Pettibone on June 20, 2025, at around 6:57 p.m. The crash involved a Honda ATV and a Dodge Ram 1500 at the intersection of 3rd Avenue NW and 46th Avenue SE.

According to reports, the Honda ATV was traveling eastbound on 3rd Avenue NW and entered the intersection controlled by a yield sign. Simultaneously, the Dodge Ram was moving northbound on 46th Avenue SE when it collided with the ATV.

The driver of the Dodge Ram, an 84-year-old male from Robinson, was not injured in the incident. It was noted that he was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash. The driver of the ATV, an 84-year-old female from Pettibone, sustained serious injuries and was not wearing a helmet.

The investigation into potential charges is ongoing. Multiple agencies responded to the scene, including Pettibone & Robinson quick response units, Pettibone & Steele Fire and Rescue, Kidder County Ambulance, Metro Ambulance, Kidder County Sheriff’s Office, and Steele PD.

Road and weather conditions were reported as good at the time of the crash.
