Atv versus vehicle crash in Pettibone leaves one seriously injured

A serious accident involving an all-terrain vehicle (ATV) and a Dodge Ram 1500 pickup truck occurred on June 20, 2025, at around 6:57 p.m. in Pettibone. The crash took place at the intersection of 3rd Avenue NW and 46th Avenue SE.

The incident involved an ATV driven by Lorraine Wolf, aged 84, from Pettibone. Wolf was traveling eastbound on 3rd Avenue NW when she approached the intersection with a yield sign. At the same time, Marvin Remmick, aged 85, from Robinson, was driving northbound on 46th Avenue SE in a Dodge Ram.

The collision happened when the ATV entered the intersection and was struck by the Dodge. Lorraine Wolf sustained serious injuries in the crash and was not wearing a helmet at the time of the accident. Marvin Remmick was not injured and was not wearing a seat belt.

The crash is currently under investigation by local authorities. Agencies that responded to the scene included Pettibone & Robinson quick response units, Pettibone & Steele Fire and Rescue, Kidder County Ambulance, Metro Ambulance, Kidder County Sheriff’s Office, and Steele Police Department.

Road and weather conditions were reported as good at the time of the accident.
