Agriculture Commissioner Doug Goehring has reported significant damage to agricultural infrastructure following a severe storm system that hit North Dakota on Friday evening. The storm, which included tornadoes, strong winds, and hail, caused widespread destruction.

"My sympathies are with those in Enderlin that experienced the tragic loss of friends, neighbors and loved ones," Goehring stated. "We are saddened by the losses and devastation caused to many of our communities throughout the state."

Goehring noted reports detailing extensive damage to farms, grain handling systems, grain bins, equipment in buildings, irrigation systems, and powerlines. He highlighted the challenges producers will face during the upcoming harvest season due to limited grain storage capacity. "We will continue to work with the governor’s office and local communities to help assess the impacts," he added.
