Bismarck firefighters rescue ducklings trapped in storm sewer

The Bismarck Fire Department responded to an incident involving ducklings trapped in a storm sewer on the morning of June 20, 2025. The call came from a concerned citizen reporting that a brood of ducklings had fallen into a city sewer.

At around 10:00 AM, the fire crew from Fire Station 2 arrived at the scene near the intersection of S 12th St and Tacoma Ave in south Bismarck. They discovered the ducklings in a storm sewer and successfully removed all ten of them. The ducklings were then reunited with their mother, who was waiting nearby.
