On June 15, 2025, a serious vehicle collision occurred on Highway 10 near 102nd Ave SW, approximately five miles east of Dickinson. The crash involved a head-on collision between two vehicles: a westbound Dodge Ram 1500 and an eastbound Toyota Corolla.

The Dodge Ram was driven by Ryan Perhus, aged 49 from Marshall, who was injured in the crash. It is reported that Perhus was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the incident. The investigation into potential charges against him is ongoing.

The Toyota Corolla was driven by Roseleigh Thomas, aged 27 from Dickinson. Thomas sustained fatal injuries and passed away on June 16 due to the severity of her injuries. She had two passengers in her vehicle: Kyle Wandler, aged 34 from Dickinson, who was injured, and a two-year-old male child who was unharmed thanks to being properly restrained in a car seat. The seatbelt usage for Thomas is still under investigation.

All occupants of the Toyota were transported to a local emergency room following the crash. Thomas required further medical attention and was flown to Bismarck for treatment.

The North Dakota Highway Patrol continues to investigate this tragic accident with assistance from the Stark County Sheriff's Office and Stark County Ambulance services.
