Fatal UTV rollover crash under investigation in Williams County

A fatal crash involving a utility task vehicle occurred in Williams County on June 15, 2025. The incident took place at 12:03 AM on 147th Drive NW and involved a 2021 Polaris RZR. The driver, Richard Reidle, aged 50 from Williston, lost control of the vehicle while traveling northbound. The UTV left the roadway and rolled over.

Reidle was not wearing a seatbelt and sustained fatal injuries in the crash. A passenger, Justine Baxter, aged 55 from Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, also did not wear a seatbelt and suffered minor injuries.

The North Dakota Highway Patrol is currently investigating the crash. Agencies involved in responding to the incident included the NDHP, Williams County Sheriff’s Office, Williams County EMS, and Trenton EMS.
