Williams County Sheriff's Office completes sex offender compliance check

The Williams County Sheriff’s Office in Williston, North Dakota, has recently concluded a sex offender compliance check. These checks are essential to ensure that sex offenders residing and working in the county adhere to registration requirements as specified by the ND Century Code. The process also verifies the accuracy of information in their registry records.

During this operation, 27 compliance checks were performed. Out of these, 24 offenders were found compliant with regulations. One individual was not in compliance, while two others no longer reside within Williams County.

Among those checked, 14 are categorized as low-risk offenders, seven as moderate risk, two as high-risk, and four have an undetermined risk level currently under review.

For the non-compliant offender, charges will be sought from the Williams County State’s Attorney’s Office.
