"The North Dakota Grape and Wine Advisory Committee advises the North Dakota Department of Agriculture on the distribution of $80,000 allocated for industry research and promotion for the 2025-2027 biennium," stated Doug Goehring, North Dakota Agriculture Commissioner. "The committee is now seeking qualified applicants."

Applicants will be evaluated based on several criteria. These include the potential impact on enhancing competitiveness within the industry, expected measurable outcomes with specific goals and performance measures, feasibility of work plans relative to project objectives and timelines, as well as geographical considerations and applicability across multiple products.

Those interested can find applications and instructions at www.ndda.nd.gov/grapewinefruit. Proposals must be submitted by 4 p.m. CDT on Sunday, June 29, 2025.

Selected applicants will be required to present their proposals in person to the advisory committee in a session lasting up to 20 minutes followed by a question-and-answer period. The committee will review these presentations before making recommendations to the Agriculture Commissioner regarding grant awards.
