Bismarck Veterans Memorial Public Library is set to host a two-part book chat this spring in collaboration with the North Dakota Asian-American Arts and Cultural Initiative (NDAAACI). The event, part of the Kaleidoscope Project, will focus on Jia Tolentino's "Trick Mirror: Reflections on Self-Delusion" for its June session.

Heather May, Community Integration Facilitator at the City of Bismarck, will lead these discussions aimed at adult literary enthusiasts. The Kaleidoscope Project seeks to explore themes such as immigration, identity, and resilience through curated literature. It aims to amplify underrepresented voices and promote empathy and understanding through dialogue.

The book chat is scheduled for Saturday, June 28 at 3:00 p.m. in the Missouri River Room of the Bismarck Veterans Memorial Public Library. Attendance is free and open to all ages. Media representatives are welcome to join.

For further details, Sarah Matthews, Head of Adult Programming at the library, can be contacted. More information is available on their website and social media platforms.
