The city of Mandan has announced that the annual Buggies-n-Blues car show and music festival will occur from June 6 to June 8, 2025. The event will feature classic cars, live music, and family activities in the downtown area. Main Street is scheduled to close at 2 a.m. on June 8 for the car show.

According to a press release, Main Street will be closed from Third Avenue NE to Sixth Avenue NW until 5 p.m. on the day of the event. Third Avenue NE and Second Avenue NE will be temporarily closed for vehicle staging and are expected to reopen at 11 a.m. after all vehicles are positioned. All other avenues intersecting Main Street within the closure zone will remain closed from Main Street to the alley for the duration of the event. Temporary four-way stop signs will be implemented at First Street intersections with Third Avenue NE and Third Avenue NW to enhance safety and manage traffic flow.

Parking restrictions will be enforced on Main Street, in parking lots on its south side, and on intersecting avenues within the closure area starting early that morning. Vehicles parked in violation may be towed to ensure safe passage for participants, vendors, and emergency access. Access to West Main Street will remain open specifically for Runnings and the Morton Mandan Public Library. Motorists are advised to use First Street as a detour around closures, while truck drivers are encouraged to plan alternate routes due to road restrictions.

Residents and visitors should anticipate increased pedestrian traffic along Main Street and near Dykshoorn Park throughout the weekend, particularly on June 6 and 7 when additional events such as the Food Truck Festival and live music performances take place ahead of the car show on June 8.

Mandan's population was estimated at 24,586 as of July 1, 2023, according to the State Data Center. Known for its historical roots as a village for the Mandan tribe, a cavalry fort, and a railroad hub, Mandan continues its growth trajectory by hosting annual events like Touch-A-Truck, Rodeo Days, and Buggies-n-Blues that attract thousands of visitors each year. The city offers various recreational facilities including parks, sports complexes, and museums.
