Pickup collides with train in West Fargo; driver injured

On May 13, 2025, an injury crash occurred in West Fargo involving a train and a pickup truck. The incident took place at approximately 11:22 AM on the 400 block of 12th Avenue NE.

A westbound Chevrolet Silverado, driven by a 34-year-old male from Valley City, was traveling in the eastbound lanes when it collided with a BNSF train. The impact resulted in the pickup being dragged about 100 feet before coming to rest along the railroad tracks. The driver sustained injuries and was transported to Sanford Hospital for treatment.

The North Dakota Highway Patrol is leading the investigation into the crash. Other agencies involved include the West Fargo Police Department, West Fargo Fire Department, BNSF Police, and Sanford Ambulance.
