Motorcycle crash claims life on Highway 49 in Morton County

On Tuesday, May 13, 2025, a fatal motorcycle crash occurred on Highway 49 at mile marker 66.5. The incident took place around 5:00 PM Mountain Time under dry and clear conditions.

The crash involved a single vehicle, a 2007 Harley Davidson motorcycle. The driver, a 52-year-old male from Carson, sustained fatal injuries after failing to negotiate a curve and leaving the roadway. He was not wearing a helmet at the time of the accident.

The North Dakota Highway Patrol is leading the investigation into the crash, with assistance from the Morton County Sheriff’s Office, Glen Ullin Fire and Rescue, and Glen Ullin Ambulance.

"Charges: Under investigation," as said in the report.
