The North Dakota Department of Commerce has announced the approval of two companies for a combined investment of $255,000 through the Angel Match Program (AMP) in the first quarter of 2025.
"The Angel Match Program is designed to empower entrepreneurs who are tackling real-world challenges with bold ideas," stated Shayden Akason, Commerce Deputy Director – Economic Development & Finance / Head of Investments and Innovation. He further added, "Whether it’s helping consumers navigate complex insurance claims or creating smarter, more transparent supply chains, these companies represent the kind of innovation we’re proud to support in North Dakota."
The investments include $100,000 for Tugboat Solutions, Inc., which aids home insurance policyholders in overturning and correcting wrongfully denied and underpaid insurance claims. Verdethos, Inc. was approved for a $155,000 investment aimed at working capital. Verdethos provides software solutions for supply chain logistics and traceability of commodities.
Established in 2021, the AMP supports early-stage, high-growth businesses in North Dakota by matching private investment commitments. The program is managed by the North Dakota Development Fund (NDDF). So far, fifteen companies have received funding from AMP.
