North Dakota Development Fund invests over $2 million in Q1 projects

The North Dakota Department of Commerce has announced that four companies have been approved for loans totaling $2.35 million through the North Dakota Development Fund Inc. during the first quarter of 2025.

“These investments reflect our ongoing commitment to fostering economic growth, meeting community needs, and creating jobs across North Dakota,” said Shayden Akason, Commerce Deputy Director – Economic Development & Finance / Head of Investments and Innovation. “Through the Development Fund, we’re proud to support businesses that are moving the state forward.”

Among the loan recipients is After School Latch Key Program Inc., doing business as TL Childcare, which received a $247,500 loan to purchase a building and expand its childcare operations. Valor Victoria Ltd. was granted a $500,000 loan for working capital.

Charge On Together Center LLC in Jamestown received a $600,572 loan aimed at building renovations to expand its childcare services. Small Wonders Preschool Childcare Center Inc. in Fargo was approved for two separate loans of $500,000 each to aid renovations and construction of new childcare facilities at two different locations.

The North Dakota Development Fund was established in 1991 and provides flexible financing options for new or expanding businesses within the state. The fund also manages the Child Care Loan Program to assist providers addressing critical workforce needs.
