The City of Bismarck's Engineering Department has issued a reminder to residents and businesses regarding advertising restrictions in public right of way areas. The city emphasizes the importance of keeping boulevards clear to ensure safety and convenience for all community members.

Unauthorized advertising within these areas is prohibited due to potential hazards it may pose to pedestrians, cyclists, and drivers. The right of way typically includes the space from the back of one sidewalk across the street to the back of the opposite sidewalk, encompassing grassed boulevards between sidewalks and curbs.

The City encourages citizens to report any suspected unauthorized advertising in these areas. "By working together, we can maintain a safe and accessible environment for all," stated a city representative.

For those looking to report obstructions, an online reporting system is available through the city's website.
