Whether you're just beginning your college journey, navigating through subsequent semesters, or approaching graduation, college life involves a variety of experiences. To help students maximize their college years, faculty and staff at DSU have shared their insights, covering topics from challenging assignments to maintaining organization.

Dr. Andrea Cuervo Prados, an adjunct faculty member at the School of Education, uses a metaphor to emphasize managing online courses. “How do you eat an elephant? One bite at a time!” said Dr. Cuervo Prados. She advises breaking assignments into smaller parts to maintain progress, highlighting the importance of sleep: "Prioritize quality sleep! It's crucial for memory retention and focus."

Dr. Liz Freedman Fowler, Dean of the School of Applied Sciences, underscores the significance of staying organized. She recommends adding classes and exam dates to a calendar with reminder alerts. “Add all of your classes and exam dates to your calendar, and set reminder alerts,” she suggested. This advice is particularly useful for early morning classes.

These expert tips aim to assist students in not merely surviving but thriving in their educational pursuits.
