Construction on Interstate 94 east of Bismarck is set to commence on Tuesday, April 1. The project involves the reconstruction of the eastbound lanes from mile marker 162 to 172 and part of the eastbound Apple Creek rest area parking lot.

During the construction period, eastbound lanes and the rest area will be closed. Traffic will be redirected head-to-head on the westbound lanes. Ramp access will remain available at Exit 170 Menoken Interchange.

The speed limit in the work zone will be reduced, with minimum delays anticipated. Flaggers will assist traffic as needed, and a width restriction of 15 feet will be enforced.

Completion of this project is expected by fall. "The North Dakota Department of Transportation would like to remind motorists to slow down and use caution throughout the work zone."
