Senator John Hoeven recently honored Red Trail Elementary School in Mandan, North Dakota, for being named a 2024 National Blue Ribbon School. In recognition of this achievement, Senator Hoeven presented the school with a flag that had been flown over the U.S. Capitol. This flag will be displayed alongside the National Blue Ribbon School flag at the school.
During the presentation, Senator Hoeven remarked on the significance of this accolade: “Today, we celebrate Red Trail Elementary School’s recognition as a National Blue Ribbon School, a testament to their dedication to academic excellence.” He further acknowledged the collective effort behind this accomplishment by stating, “This outstanding achievement is the result of the hard work and commitment from the students, families, teachers, and staff at Red Trail Elementary. Congratulations on this well-earned honor.”
The National Blue Ribbon Schools Program has been recognizing public and private schools for their academic excellence or progress in closing achievement gaps since its inception in 1982.
