The Cass County Commission has approved Kyle Litchy as the new Cass County Engineer. The decision was made unanimously during a recent Commission meeting. Litchy has been with the Cass County Highway Department since 2013, initially joining as an engineering technician. In 2017, he advanced to the role of assistant county engineer of design and construction, where he has worked for eight years. He will assume his new responsibilities immediately.
Prior to this appointment, a special interview panel was established in February by the Commission to evaluate candidates for the position. The panel was tasked with interviewing finalists and providing a recommendation for hire.
The interview panel consisted of Commissioner Tony Grindberg, Commissioner Duane Breitling, County Administrator Robert Wilson, Assistant Administrator Tracy Peters, and Clay County Highway Engineer Justin Sorum.
Kyle Litchy now steps into his role as Cass County Engineer.
