Farmers and crop advisers looking for research-based recommendations on canola production are encouraged to join the NDSU Extension's "Getting It Right in Canola Production" webinar scheduled for March 14. The event, sponsored by the Northern Canola Growers Association, will take place from 8:30 a.m. to noon Central time.

Ana Carcedo, an NDSU Extension broadleaf crops agronomist, emphasized the value of these webinars. “These educational webinars will provide research updates and recommendations that can help farmers with production decisions for the 2025 growing season,” she stated.

The webinar will be conducted via Zoom and feature presentations by several NDSU specialists, including Brian Jenks, Venkata Chapara, Anitha Chirumamilla, David Ripplinger, Janet Knodel, and Frayne Olson. Topics covered will include agronomy recommendations, pest and disease management, market forecasts, among others. Participants will have the opportunity to engage with speakers during a live Q&A session at the end of the presentations.

Additionally, certified crop adviser continuing education credits are available for attendees of the live webinar.

Participation is free but requires preregistration at ndsu.ag/gir. Those who preregister will receive emailed instructions along with a Zoom link to access the webinar.
