The Bismarck Historical Society is set to host a program titled "Archaeology of Bismarck" at the Bismarck Veterans Memorial Public Library in Meeting Room A. The event will take place on Wednesday, February 12, 2025, at 6:30 PM.

Tour guides Damita Engle and Signe Snortland will lead the program. They invite attendees to consider the history beneath their feet as they walk through downtown Bismarck. Engle and Snortland encourage participants to "come join us to hear about the archaeology of what lies below Bismarck and guess which kid's toy was found in an abandoned storm drain."

The program will include a venture southward to explore investigations conducted at the University of Mary, focusing on evidence related to the Battle of Apple Creek. Additionally, discussions will cover work at the Larson village site located just north of Bismarck. This segment will feature a display of photographs and reconstructed pottery from the site.
