The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has awarded $988,046 to various projects and initiatives in North Dakota.

A sum of $546,014 has been allocated to the North Dakota Department of Agriculture. This funding is intended for the continued operation of the agency's environmental programs, providing greater flexibility to address its priorities, improve performance, achieve administrative savings, and strengthen the partnership between the department and EPA.

The North Dakota Department of Environmental Quality will receive $314,032. This amount is designated for its Leaking Underground Storage Tanks corrective action program, which encompasses assessment, remediation, and enforcement-related activities.

Additionally, $128,000 has been awarded to the North Dakota Industrial Commission's Oil & Gas Division. These funds are aimed at protecting underground sources of drinking water from injection activities.
