BISMARCK, N.D. – Senator John Hoeven expressed his gratitude and appreciation for the planned retirement of Maj. Gen. Alan Dohrmann from his role as Adjutant General of the North Dakota National Guard and Director of the North Dakota Department of Emergency Services, effective September 30, 2024.
In a statement issued today, Senator Hoeven commended Maj. Gen. Dohrmann, saying, "Maj. Gen. Dohrmann has been a steadfast and dedicated public servant and member of the Armed Forces. North Dakota is tremendously proud of our National Guard members, who fulfill an ever-growing role in our national defense and serve with distinction every day. Throughout his tenure, Maj. Gen. Dohrmann has upheld and strengthened this record of excellence, and our state and country are more secure today because of his incredible work. We deeply appreciate his longtime leadership and service and wish him and his family the very best as he approaches retirement."
