Sitting Bull College enrolls 260 undergrads

At Sitting Bull College, 57 percent of undergraduate students are nontraditional students - age 25 or older - and 66 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year public institution in Fort Yates enrolled 273 students in fall 2018, including 260 in undergraduate and 13 in graduate programs, data shows. 9.6 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

55 percent of undergraduates are residents of North Dakota, and 45 percent are residents of other states.

The undergraduate student body is comprised of students who identify as American Indian or Alaska Native (92 percent) and white (8 percent).
