Effective immediately, as of 4:38 PM (CST) on July 22, 2025, all gravel and chip seal roads in Zones 2, 3, 5, and 6 within Williams County and Township are subject to a restriction limiting axle weight to six tons. Permits approved before this announcement are now void. This measure will remain in place until further notice.
Additionally, starting at 8:00 AM (CST) on July 22, 2025, the same roads in the specified zones will be restricted to a Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW) limit of 20,000 pounds due to recent rainfall. Any previously approved permits exceeding this GVW limit are also void. The condition of these roads will continue to be reassessed throughout the day.
