Every month, the Bismarck Larks and MDU Resources Group honor a child from the Bismarck, Mandan area who excels in community service and personal conduct. This January, two children were chosen for their exceptional contributions.
“These two kids both had great stories; we couldn’t pick just one,” said Kayla Rimer, Larks VP of Creative Services. “We’re so excited to celebrate them both!”
Melbourne is an athlete involved in football, baseball, and swimming. He enjoys playing catcher in baseball, stating it requires resilience. Beyond sports, Melbourne is passionate about reading and finds it soothing.
“I love to read!” said Melbourne. “I feel transported to where the book is, and it’s just kind of soothing.”
Brody also excels in sports such as football, hockey, and baseball. His favorite role on the baseball field is catcher due to the dynamic nature of the position. Brody is committed to community service through his church and volunteering with charities like soup kitchens, United Way, and Dream Center.
