Wells County District Health Unit: Caitlyn is truly a servant leader

2

Wells County District Health Unit issued the following announcement on April 10.

As we wrap up National Public Health Week, we wanted to highlight our nurses once more. This time by hearing from our support staff on what they love about our three awesome nurses!

Caitlyn is truly a servant leader. I’ve really enjoyed watching her grow in her role as administrator. She’s not afraid to ask questions and to learn new things so that she can be well versed in all areas of our public health unit.  She still makes time to continue sharing in the nursing workload, suiting up for testing right alongside the other nurses.  She cares about her employees and her patients, and it shows.

Caitlyn is compassionate; caring of clients and staff-she is an excellent leader for our agency. She is always professional whether at work or just out and about in the Public. She always has the best interests of the staff in all of her decisions for the agency.  She is an excellent face for Public Health!

Caitlyn is a great leader that walks alongside each of us and values and considers our input. She has done amazing at keeping up to date with all the changing information surrounding the pandemic. She works right alongside the other nurses and is happy to see clients herself. She has an open door policy and is available to us any time of day which really makes me trust in her as a leader and on a fun note: she keeps our environment at work extremely positive, supportive, and happy/fun! I have never enjoyed a work environment more!

As an Administrator, Caitlyn is extremely knowledgeable, efficient, organized, as well as a highly qualified Nurse.  She always has time to listen no matter how busy she might be.  Caitlyn deeply cares for both her staff and all our Wells County patients and will do whatever it takes to be of service.  We are so lucky to have her as our Nurse and as our Administrator.

Larissa & Yolanda are also two equally very qualified Nurses who willingly go out of their way every day to serve Wells County patients no matter what it takes.  We are so lucky to have these two Nurses on our team!

Larissa is a sunny, energetic nurse. She’s very organized and is so willing to volunteer to do things to help our public health unit run smoothly. She draws patients into conversation so easily, and she truly cares about their well being. She’s definitely an asset to our team.

Larissa-her willingness to go with the flow; her smile and upbeat attitude; her professionalism and going the extra mile for clients and staff!

Larissa is so kind. She is enthusiastic to learn and come up with new ideas to engage and serve the community – especially the young community members. Larissa is always willing to help out any of us and I’m pretty sure I’ve never seen her have a bad day/attitude about anything.

Yolanda is so easygoing. Her calm compassionate manner allows patients to relax under her care. I can sense that patients both young and old can relate to her very well. We are blessed to have her on our team!

Yolanda-her willingness to learn new things, take on new projects/responsibilities; and her smile; her compassion and caring for her clients and staff.

Even though Yolanda is our newest nurse, it feels like she has been a part of the team for much longer than six months. She is always willing to add clients to her schedule and likes to stay busy. She is always willing to adjust her schedule to accommodate others which I think is something special and not commonplace in other work places. She is easy to make conversation with and really easy going with our patients!
